Red Tunic Dress (H&M) / Black Footless Tights (M&S) / Tan Embellished Sandals (New Look) / Owl Pendant (Asos) / Stretchy Bracelets (?) / Wooden Bracelet (Gift) / Red Bow Ring (Next).

Easy comfort for a (intermitently) sunny day, spent lounging around and watching the Glastonbury coverage on TV.

Got the weather I was wishing for, so that I could wear my new tunic dress acquired last weekend. The red is a funny tomato red, which I didn't think I would like, but actually looks great on. My favourite embellished sandals work brilliantly with it too !!

Hope you have an equally relaxing weekend folks ....... now where did I put my beer? ..........

Check out my funky new hat !!! Bought this hat on Saturday, this is me wearing it on Sunday........ yep I couldn't wait to wear it !! Plus it came in handy when there was a small rain shower, so you could say it's practical too !!

The photos were taken in the gardens of Mount Stewart stately home, where there was a vintage car show. The other half was kept happy by looking at old cars, and I was kept happy with a hog-roast-in-a-bap and wandering round the old house. There was some stunning old cars there......if only we had the money !!!

So we had a smashing day out, a lovely end to a weekend filled with hearty eating and fine pale ales....... mmmmmmmm !!!!!

Grey Marl T-Shirt Dress (Freemans) / Footless Tights (M & S) / Grey Patent Quilted Pumps (Matalan) / Flower Print Scarf (Boutique in Bilbao) / Yellow Ring (Next) / Olive Cropped Sleeve Jacket (New Look) / Handbag (Evans).

Do you ever take one piece and style the rest of your outfit round it ?? Well that's what I did today........ I took this gorgeous big-bloom flower print scarf (bought on holiday in Bilbao last year for about 3 euro !!!) and picked out the green in the pattern with my jacket. Layered over the top of a simple marl jersey T-shirt dress and worn with comfortable pumps, this was the ideal outfit for a spot of retail therapy in the centre of Belfast !!

Got myself a couple of items in H&M while I was in town, one is a funky hat and the other is another T-shirt dress (I definitely like my T-shirt dresses lol !!!) .......and all for just £11 total !!! I love getting bargains !!! Both will make their debut on the blog shortly.........

Just a quick post to show off my new embellished sandals that I got last week.....the weather meant that I haven't been able to wear them until the last couple of days !!! The detail on them is gorgeous, with the beaded collar on the front and the plaited toe post. The floral vest picks out the colours from the sandals perfectly too !!!

I just need the weather to stay sunny so that I can wear them loads more (could be a tall order lol !!!)

(PS sorry the photos are a bit blurry......the light was particularly bad !!)

Just chilling about the house earlier in the week .........a day off after a busy week at work called for doing very little, relaxing with tunes on and wearing comfy, cheerful clothes. Yellow features again, along with azure blue...... I'm really digging sunny colours at the moment !!!

Don't ya just love the funky plimsoles ?!

Just a wee photo of my outfit from Saturday night, we went out for pizza and a few relaxed beers.

You are probably assuming the title of the post refers to the neon yellow accessories, it actually refers to the radioactive lobster glow radiating from my sunburnt skin !!!! Yes peeps, my neck and face got a wee bit toasted (and it was only about 1-2 hours in the sun......it's tough being blonde !!!).

I was actually going to wear a coral sleeveless top, but it completely intensified the red from my skin so I had to settle for toning it down with a black top with sleeves......love this top though so it's all good !! Made it still summer - appropriate with gold and sunshine yellow accessories. There's only so much you can tone down a walking lobster though........(I still got stared at for all the wrong reasons when we walked into the pizza joint lol !!!!!!).

Took these photos yesterday, on a lovely sunny day. As The Other Half is a bit of a car enthusiast (understatement !!) we went to watch a car hill climb event, staged in the middle of a folk musuem park. For those not in the know, it's basically a whole load of vintage and retro sports cars driving up a very steep and twisty short road in the quickest time possible !! For me, it was a lovely excuse to sit in the sun, soak up the atmosphere and eat burgers (I have to admit, some of the cars were beautiful and the roar off some of them was deadly !!). We also took a wander up the paddock, where all the cars were parked and you could see them up close !!
The only downsides were...... a) We had to walk up said steep hill in the first place in order to watch the event (when you have a heavy head cold it's a bit of a killer !!) ........& b) The sun was so strong that I managed to get sunburn on my forearms, my neck and the corner of my forehead (darn you pale skin !!). We had a great wee day out though, so it was worth it lol !!!
P.S. The old Morris-Minor car I'm standing in front of must have been a marshalls car parked up (it would never have made it up the hill !!), but it was soooooo cute and it had houndstooth print seats in it, so I had to take a photo of it !!

These photos were taken yesterday........it was a lovely sunny afternoon so I rushed home after work feeling inspired to change into a summery-feeling, casual, comfy outfit. Got my camera out and.......yes you've guessed it, the clouds came over and the sun was gone, darn it !!! Threw on a cardi and took the photos anyway, but the post title now sounds decidedly ironic !!!!
To rub further salt into the wound, once I had finished my photos and went out to run errands, did the sun not come back out twice as bright (it's trying to mock me, mark my words !!!).
LOVE the colours in this vest top....... and the sunnies carry on the pattern in the reverse colour scheme. A few colour-pop accessories and gold accents and I was good to go !!
